Building your own bed is one of the most satisfying projects in the shop, but chopping mortises for traditional bed rail hardware is slow, fussy work. Since the hardware disappears once the bed is assembled, there's no reason to bother. These brackets simply screw onto the surface: no mortises, no router, no chisel.

Built heavier than stamped hardware.

Each bracket is cut from 1/8" thick steel and stands over 5" tall, so it's far stiffer than the thin stamped brackets you'll find elsewhere. It's hardware made to outlast the bed, and maybe get handed down with it.

A tight, rattle-free joint.

Hardened steel pins drop into precisely machined teardrop slots and pull the rail snug against the post, for a rigid connection with virtually zero play. No wobble, no squeaks.

Fast, foolproof assembly.

The flat brackets go on the ends of the side rails, and the angled brackets go on the headboard and footboard. The angled brackets aren't handed, so there's no left or right to keep track of. Most beds go together in about 15 minutes.

Locks so you can lift the bed by its rails.

A locking screw through the indexing hole at each corner keeps the joint from lifting apart, so you can pick up and move the bed by its side rails. That extra security is especially welcome on bunk beds.
