Which sounds better?
Cutting a closet rod yourself—dealing with crooked cuts and rough edges… Or… Getting a perfectly sized rod, ready to install?
You give us your opening size—we'll take it from there.
No measuring twice, no cutting, no cleanup. We account for the thickness of the brackets so everything fits the way it should—no calculations needed on your end. Each rod is sized to fit your space, fully deburred inside and out, and ready to install. Skip the tools and get a perfect fit the first time.
Strong… as in… VERY strong.
Made from heavy-duty carbon steel with a 32mm (1-5/16") diameter, this rod is built to handle real weight. We didn't just assume that—we tested it under real-world loads, not theoretical ratings.
- 4' span → 63 lbs → 1/16" sag
- 5' span → 79 lbs → 1/8" sag
- 6' span → 95 lbs → 1/2" sag
Go ahead—load it up.
Deep black finish that's built to take a beating.
This rod features a powder-coated finish—not standard paint or enamel. The coating is applied as a dry powder and cured under heat, creating a tough, uniform surface.
The result is a rich black appearance that resists chipping, scratching, and everyday wear far better than typical painted finishes. It's a clean, modern look that holds up—even in high-use closets.
Our exclusive bracket design—better in every detail.
Conceived in-house with both form and function in mind. You get a clean, modern profile with concealed fasteners and a set screw that keeps everything securely in place.
Because the design avoids a bulky outer flange, it also allows for narrower mounting surfaces—your wall cleats can be as small as 3 inches wide and still provide solid support. It's an upgrade you'll notice every time you open the closet.
Everything you need for a clean install.
This is a complete kit—everything you need is included.
You'll get a custom sized rod, matching wall brackets, hollow wall anchors for drywall, and two screw lengths—one for 3/4" panels and a longer one for drywall installs. For the cleanest look, install the brackets with the set screw facing the rear so it stays out of sight.
Here's what you get.
- 1 Custom sized black closet rod
- 2 Matching wall brackets with set screws
- Screws in two lengths (for wood or drywall)
- Hollow wall anchors
- Hex wrench

Before you order
What measurement should I provide?
• If you're ordering a custom rod only, give us the exact length you want.
• If you're ordering a custom rod with top mount brackets, give us the bracket-to-bracket size.
• If you're ordering a custom rod with rear-pin or screw-on brackets, give us the full closet opening. Walls are rarely perfectly straight, so measure exactly where the rod will sit. We account for bracket thickness so everything fits the way it should.
What kind of tolerance do you allow when making the cut?
You'll end up with about 1/16" of total play (1/32" per side).
If you're unsure of your measurements, it's safer to err slightly smaller. A rod that's too long won't fit.
How clean of a cut can I expect?
Our water-cooled industrial band saw makes a straight, square cut every time. We then deburr both the inside and outside by hand.
What you get is a rod that's ready to install—no cleanup needed.
Why can't I just cut it myself? Wouldn't I save some money?
Fair question—but what's your time worth?
Even assuming your cut is square, between measuring, cutting, and cleaning up the edges, it adds up quickly. We handle the hard part so you get a clean, accurate result without giving up your weekend.
Round Rod Specs
What diameter is the rod?
32mm, which is just under 1-5/16". The wall of the tube is a sturdy 1mm thick.
How much weight can it handle?
In our own real-world testing: a 4' span held 63 lbs with 1/16" of sag, a 5' span held 79 lbs with 1/8" of sag, and a 6' span held 95 lbs with 1/2" of sag.
Will I need a center support?
Up to about 5' the rod is very solid on its own. Around 6' you may see slight sag under heavy loads, so we recommend a center support for longer, fully loaded spans.
How does this compare to a telescoping rod?
Telescoping rods use thinner overlapping tubes, so they flex more and hold less. They also have a bump in the middle where the tubes overlap, which catches hangers. Ours is one solid piece of steel: stronger and cleaner looking.
Is a round rod stronger than an oval rod?
Yes. A round rod spreads the load more evenly, so it deflects less under weight.
Screw-On Installation & Support Guidelines
Can I install this into wood panels?
Yes. The kit includes shorter screws sized for 3/4" panels and other wood surfaces.
Do I need to locate studs?
If you can hit a stud, the longer screws alone will do the job. If not, the included drywall anchors give you a strong, secure installation.
Any tips for drywall installation?
Use the bracket as a template to drill two 3/16" holes, then tap the anchors in until they're flush. Start the screws with a drill and finish them by hand so you don't overtighten.
I'm installing wood cleats. How wide should they be?
Because our brackets don't have a bulky outer flange, cleats can be as narrow as 3" and still give solid support. That means less material and a cleaner look.
Why do your brackets use set screws?
The set screw keeps the rod from shifting or lifting out, and lets you center it exactly. For the cleanest look, install the brackets with the set screws facing the back of the closet.
