Which sounds better?
Cutting a closet rod yourself—dealing with crooked cuts and rough edges…
Or...
Getting a perfectly sized rod, ready to install?
You give us your overall size—we'll take it from there.
No measuring twice, no cutting, no cleanup. We account for the thickness of the brackets so everything fits the way it should—no calculations needed on your end. Each rod is sized to fit your space, fully deburred inside and out, and ready to install. Skip the tools and get a perfect fit the first time.
Strong… as in… VERY strong.
Made from heavy-duty carbon steel with a 32mm (1-5/16") diameter, this rod is built to handle real weight. We didn't just assume that—we tested it under real-world loads, not theoretical ratings.
- 4' span → 63 lbs → 1/16" sag
- 5' span → 79 lbs → 1/8" sag
- 6' span → 95 lbs → 1/2" sag

Mounts where traditional closet rods can't.
Because this rod installs into the underside of a shelf, it works in places where wall-mounted rods simply won't—like cabinets, built-ins, shelving systems, laundry rooms, or closets without solid side walls. If you have a shelf above, you have a strong and flexible hanging solution.
Mounting from above eliminates bulky wall brackets and creates a streamlined, modern look. The rod sits neatly beneath the shelf, giving the space a finished, intentional appearance that feels custom—not added on.
For longer spans, our mid supports are designed to match these brackets perfectly—same profile, same dimensions, same clean look. The result is a consistent, well-integrated installation from end to end.
Soft satin nickel with a hand-finished touch.
Before plating, we smooth and refine the steel surface so the nickel has a clean, consistent base to adhere to. Then, after plating is complete, each piece is hand-finished one at a time to create its soft satin sheen.
That hands-on step also serves as an added quality-control check, helping ensure a more uniform finish from piece to piece. The result is a satin nickel appearance that feels refined, consistent, and built to hold up over time.
Here's what you get.
- 1 Custom sized closet rod
- 2 Top mount brackets
- Screws in two lengths (3/4" and 1-3/16") for different shelf thicknesses

Before you order
What measurement should I provide?
• If you're ordering a custom rod only, give us the exact length you want.
• If you're ordering a custom rod with top mount brackets, give us the bracket-to-bracket size.
• If you're ordering a custom rod with rear-pin or screw-on brackets, give us the full closet opening. Walls are rarely perfectly straight, so measure exactly where the rod will sit. We account for bracket thickness so everything fits the way it should.
What kind of tolerance do you allow when making the cut?
You'll end up with about 1/16" of total play (1/32" per side).
If you're unsure of your measurements, it's safer to err slightly smaller. A rod that's too long won't fit.
How clean of a cut can I expect?
Our water-cooled industrial band saw makes a straight, square cut every time. We then deburr both the inside and outside by hand.
What you get is a rod that's ready to install—no cleanup needed.
Why can't I just cut it myself? Wouldn't I save some money?
Fair question—but what's your time worth?
Even assuming your cut is square, between measuring, cutting, and cleaning up the edges, it adds up quickly. We handle the hard part so you get a clean, accurate result without giving up your weekend.
Round Rod Specs
What diameter is the rod?
32mm, which is just under 1-5/16". The wall of the tube is a sturdy 1mm thick.
How much weight can it handle?
In our own real-world testing: a 4' span held 63 lbs with 1/16" of sag, a 5' span held 79 lbs with 1/8" of sag, and a 6' span held 95 lbs with 1/2" of sag.
Will I need a center support?
Up to about 5' the rod is very solid on its own. Around 6' you may see slight sag under heavy loads, so we recommend a center support for longer, fully loaded spans.
How does this compare to a telescoping rod?
Telescoping rods use thinner overlapping tubes, so they flex more and hold less. They also have a bump in the middle where the tubes overlap, which catches hangers. Ours is one solid piece of steel: stronger and cleaner looking.
Is a round rod stronger than an oval rod?
Yes. A round rod spreads the load more evenly, so it deflects less under weight.
