Designed where wall brackets won't work.
This round top mount bracket mounts directly beneath a shelf, giving you a clean, flexible way to install a closet rod when side walls aren't available—or simply aren't ideal.
Because the rod installs from above, this design works perfectly in cabinets, built-ins, shelving systems, laundry areas, or anywhere you have a solid horizontal surface.
A cleaner, more intentional look.
Mounting from above eliminates bulky side brackets and keeps the focus on the rod itself.
The result is a streamlined, modern appearance that feels built-in—not added on.
Built to support real weight.
Closet rods aren't just for looks—they need to perform.
Our 32mm round rods are tested under real-world conditions, and this top mount bracket is designed to support them with confidence—whether you're hanging a few items or fully loading the rod.
Solid cast construction—not stamped shortcuts.
This top mount bracket is cast as a single piece—not assembled from multiple parts like some lower-cost alternatives.
Casting creates a denser, more substantial part with cleaner lines and smoother edges, resulting in better durability and a more refined finished look.
A smoother finish starts before the finish.
A great satin nickel finish starts with a properly prepared surface.
Long before it gets plated, each top mount bracket goes through a multi-step grinding and polishing process to refine the surface and remove any burrs or rough edges. This essential step sets the stage for everything that follows.
After a generous nickel plating, the satin effect is applied entirely by hand. Using a specialized abrasive wheel, each piece is carefully finished to achieve a soft, uniform, brushed appearance—while also serving as a final check for consistency.
The result is a warm, understated finish that complements a wide range of interiors—and matches seamlessly with our rods and other components for a cohesive look throughout your space.
Secure, 3-point mounting.
This top mount bracket attaches using three screws for added stability and support.
The three-point design helps distribute weight more evenly and keeps the bracket firmly anchored over time.
Simple installation with a clean final result.
- Predrill one mounting hole
- Attach the top mount bracket and leave the screw slightly loose
- Rotate as needed to square it with the surface
- Predrill and install the remaining screws
- Slip the rod into place and repeat for the other end
Designed to work as part of a complete system.
For longer spans, our matching mid supports are designed to work seamlessly with these top mount brackets—same profile, same clean look.
Our round rods are sold separately and available in multiple lengths, so you can build a setup that fits your space exactly.
Here's what you get…
- 2 satin nickel round closet rod top mount brackets (sold as a pair, one for each end of the rod)
- Matching mounting screws (two lengths: 3/4" and 1 3/16" for thicker shelves)

Round Rod Specs
What diameter is the rod?
32mm, which is just under 1-5/16". The wall of the tube is a sturdy 1mm thick.
How much weight can it handle?
In our own real-world testing: a 4' span held 63 lbs with 1/16" of sag, a 5' span held 79 lbs with 1/8" of sag, and a 6' span held 95 lbs with 1/2" of sag.
Will I need a center support?
Up to about 5' the rod is very solid on its own. Around 6' you may see slight sag under heavy loads, so we recommend a center support for longer, fully loaded spans.
How does this compare to a telescoping rod?
Telescoping rods use thinner overlapping tubes, so they flex more and hold less. They also have a bump in the middle where the tubes overlap, which catches hangers. Ours is one solid piece of steel: stronger and cleaner looking.
Is a round rod stronger than an oval rod?
Yes. A round rod spreads the load more evenly, so it deflects less under weight.
